We’re proud to share that John Nickerson, CEO of JLN Associates, LLC (JLN Safety), has been recognized by the National Safety Council as one of its 2026 “CEOs Who Get It.”
This national recognition honors executive leaders who demonstrate a deep, personal commitment to protecting the safety, health, and well-being of workers — not just through policy, but through everyday leadership, accountability, and action.
Each year, fewer than 10 CEOs across the country are selected for this distinction.
What Is the NSC “CEOs Who Get It” Award?
The CEOs Who Get It award is presented by the National Safety Council to leaders who go beyond compliance and embed safety into the fabric of their organizations. Honorees are recognized for fostering cultures where safety is prioritized, employees are empowered to speak up, and prevention is treated as a leadership responsibility.
According to the NSC, this award highlights executives who understand that safety excellence starts at the top – and is sustained through consistent engagement, investment, and example.
A Commitment to Safety Leadership
“Safety isn’t a program – it’s a responsibility,” said John Nickerson, CEO of JLN Associates. “This recognition reflects the incredible work of our entire team and our shared belief that every worker deserves to go home safe at the end of the day.”
Under John’s leadership, JLN Safety has grown into a nationally respected, multi-discipline safety organization supporting high-risk industries including power generation, construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure. Our work spans third-party safety oversight, confined space rescue services, emergency response planning, fire protection services, and hands-on, compliance-driven safety training.
This recognition reflects not only leadership philosophy, but how safety is executed in the field – through preparation, real-world training, and proactive hazard identification.
Safety in Practice, Not Just on Paper
At JLN Safety, safety leadership means:
Practical, scenario-driven training
Real-world rescue and emergency preparedness
Empowering workers to stop work when conditions change
Partnering with clients to identify hazards before incidents occur
The CEOs Who Get It award reinforces our belief that safety cultures are built through visible leadership, consistent expectations, and teams that are equipped – not just instructed – to work safely.
We’re grateful to our team, our clients, and our partners who continue to prioritize safety and support a culture where prevention comes first. This recognition belongs to all of you.
